technolegy challenge

Yesterday room 6  had a technology challenge we were making costumes with cardboard and good materials and we made like dragons, princess, cars.

All those materials we used was for the technology challenge and it was incredible because we got heaps of time to make our costumes. our time was like 1 hour and we were finally got our costumes finished and the people who had costumes had to go outside and the people who don't have a costume on are the judges and the judges have to make some space for the people have costumes on so they can see if they have the three fancy words for their costumes those three fancy words were fancy, design, and style.

holiday recount

Last week on Sunday I went to the Otahuhu pools with my brothers,  sisters and my dad. We went in my dad's car and when we got there my brother started to drown me and it was not fun.
Because I was coughing and it was making me sick that's why. Whenever my brother comes he drowns me all the time when my dad is here.
And then i met a girl and she keeps on telling me to keep on diving into the pool and she tries to catch me again and again and again.

I had a good time.

recount why we chose to stop fish from dying

We chose to save the fish
dying is because a lot of
fish is dying from global
warming. Global warming
has a lot of gases but I am
only going to chose two
gases that are carbon
dioxide and methane.
The Carbon dioxide traps
the heat from the sun and
makes the Earth hotter each day.
Climate change is changing from
normal hot to extreme hots
it's like global warming
breaking climate change
chains hotter and hotter
heat. When the global
warming breaks climate
changes chains open
Global warming makes
the water hot and hotter
each time people pollute
trash everywhere. And that's
why I chose to save the fish
from dying because people
are pollution everywhere.
Polluting is also how
Carbon dioxide is made.

earths atmousphere

This is earth. Earth is surrounded by atmosphere. Atmosphere is made up of gases like oxygen, carbon dioxide, methane and many more. Earth is a warm planet. Carbon dioxide is responsible for trapping the sun's heat. This is known as greenhouse effect. Recently there are factories and cars that are laying on smoke. More carbon dioxide means more absorption of heat.

This make the Earth warmer and warmers.when the Earth get warmer heat wave will be produce and wildfires will happen. And habitat of lot of animals will be destroyed. When glaciers melt in the sea it will submerge lots of island and flood people’s home. We can slow down global warming by planting more tree.Tree will absorb Carbon dioxide and cool the Earth.

earthquake

  • When earthquakes happen loss of lives and property also happens. Sometimes the whole city can get destroyed so reconstruction of the city can cost millions of dollars. People have to live at camps for months. The builders have to reconstruct the houses and buildings. Also in earthquakes we have shattered windows, tilted cars, injured people, broken tracks, derailed trains, collused buildings, and blood’.

the sun

Without the sun there would be no heat, no light, plants could not grow, water would freeze and nothing could survive. The sun gives us heat and light because it is always burning. It is a giant ball of gas mostly hydrogen and helium and burns out millions of degrees at it's  centre.

Mars is known as the red planet¨because of it's red colour as seen from earth. It is the fourth planet from the sun in our solar system. Mars isn't just red other colours on it's surface include tan, brown, gold, and speaks of green. A day on mars is about 40 minutes longer than a day on earth. A year on mars is about 687 earth days long it takes mars to orbit the sun. the picture shows how close mars is to the sun earth and other planets.

earth

Earth is the safest planet to survive with oxygen also water and unique food. Goldilocks is not to hot and not to cold it is the right temperature. And we could not survive in another planet because there is no oxygen no water and no unique food. We can not survive in venus cause there aren't any water or hydration. And we should not go to an other planet because we could not survive and we will die. And if you put sulphuric acid all over your body your skin will come off and the worse thing is you will burn to death.

planets in our solar system

Mercury is the closest planet to the sun and it is also the smallest of the eight planets in our solar system. For every 2 orbits of the sun which takes around 88 earth days, mercury completes three rotations of it axis.it is gravitationally locked and this rotation is unique to the solar system.

Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only object in the Universe known to harbor life. According to radiometric dating and other sources of evidence, Earth formed over 4.5 billion years ago.

Mars is the fourth planet from the sun and the second - smallest planet in the solar system after mercury.

Neptune is the eighth and farthest known planet from the sun in the solar system it is the fourth- largest planet by diameter the third most massive planet and the densest.
Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun. it has the third - largest planetary radius and fourth largest planetary mass in the solar system
Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun and the largest in the solar system. It is a giant planet with a mass one- thousand that of the sun but two- and a half times that of all the other planets in the solar system.
Pluto is a dwarf planet in the Kuiper belt, a ring of bodies beyond Neptune. It was the first Kuiper belt object to be discovered. Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh in 1930 and was
Venus is the second planet from the Sun, orbiting it every 224.7 Earth days. It has the longest rotation period of any planet in the Solar System and rotates in the opposite direction to most other planets.

maori pai

spiritual beliefs have long been central to Māori culture. In the 19th century Christianity offered Māori new beliefs. Some Māori adopted Christian forms of worship. Others merged traditional and Christian practices into entirely new systems of belief. In 1862 a new religious faith, Pai Mārire grew out of the conflict over land in Taranaki. It influenced the development of other Māori religious movements, some of which survived into the 21st century.
